Net Zero 2050 Pledge
1. Commitment to Net Zero 2050
Track24 Limited recognises the urgent need to address climate change and is committed to achieving NetZero by 2050. Our pledge aligns with international best practice and UK government targets.
Key principles of our NetZero commitment include:
- Reducing operational emissions: Implementing energy efficiency measures, sustainable transport, and low-carbon options where possible
- Sustainable supply chain: Encouraging suppliers and partners to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
- Continuous improvement: Regularly reviewing and updating our strategy to remain aligned with evolving legislation, technology, and science.
2. Actions
1. Choosing a Location with Strong Sustainability Goals
As part of our decision‑making process when selecting a new office location, we intentionally chose premises that align with our environmental and sustainability objectives. A key factor in our choice was moving into space provided by Workspace, whose Net Zero commitment and sustainability strategy demonstrates meaningful action to reduce environmental impact and carbon footprint. This includes efforts to cut emissions, reduce fossil fuel use, improve energy efficiency, and support recycling initiatives across their portfolio of buildings. Their sustainability approach is mapped against global standards such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that the workspace environment supports both our operational needs and our environmental ethos. By relocating to a workspace with strong sustainability credentials, we can comfortably and responsibly use office facilities without compromising our goals as a business committed to environmental stewardship.
2. Sustainable Courier Selection and Travel Policy
Use of Sustainable Couriers:
We select service providers not only for efficiency and reliability but also for their environmental commitments. For example, we partner with DHL due to their sustainability pledges and progress towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to lower‑impact logistics solutions. DHL has publicly committed to initiatives such as aiming for net‑zero emissions logistics by 2050, investing in alternative fuels and low‑carbon technologies, and improving the efficiency of transport operations. By choosing couriers with robust sustainability strategies, we ensure that our logistical footprint is minimised and aligned with our broader environmental commitments.
As we continue to grow as a business, and further Net Zero initiatives emerge, we will continue to review our choices in line with couriers that are best aligned with our Net Zero pledges.
“Travel Only When Necessary” Policy:
To further reduce our environmental impact, we implement a “travel when there is a need” policy that discourages unnecessary travel - both local and international. We operate on with a ‘remote first’ approach across our global workforce and ensure all employees make environmentally friendly travel choices where possible.
Travel requests must be justified with clear business necessity and reviewed by management. Virtual meetings and remote collaboration tools are utilised wherever feasible to avoid travel‑related emissions. When travel is essential, choices such as low‑emission transport methods are encouraged, and options are assessed on a case‑by‑case basis to minimise environmental impact. This policy supports our commitment to reduce unnecessary carbon emissions across the organisation.
3. Governance and Reporting
- Responsibility for Net Zero strategy lies with our CEO, Andrew McInerney, however actions and improvements are a shared responsibility across the whole organisation.
- Progress is reported annually to stakeholders and incorporated into sustainability reports.
- Independent verification is sought where appropriate to ensure transparency and accountability.
4. Employee Engagement and Training
- All staff receive training on sustainable practices relevant to their role.
- Engagement initiatives encourage staff to participate in emissions reduction activities.
